Up-S-cycling

One of my friends who „liked“ IG facebook page found a terminological inaccuracy in a company’s description:

„Custom-made furniture, design and interior elements used in RECYCLE-style“.

Namely, it would be more correct to use the word upcycle-style instead of recycle.

Wikipedia’s definition of the word upcycling is as follows:

It is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value. The first recorded use of the term upcycling was by Reiner Pilz in 1994.

Of course, big thanks to Kristjan. It was a valuable information and it is nice of you to point that out. I'll make the correction, and next time when we meet up you can say that you've put an effort into the IG project .. :)

Does anybody know, what is the estonian word for upcycling? Eco-design?

Üks mu sõber, kes  „laikis“ IG facebooki,  leidis tutvustavas informatsioonis terminoloogilise ebatäpsuse:

„Custom-made furniture, design and interior elements used in RECYCLE-style.“

Nimelt, sõnaühendi recycle asemel oleks korrektsem kasutada upcycle-style. 

Wikipedia defineerib mõistet upcycle järgmiselt:

„See on ümbertöötlemise protsess , kus kasutatakse jäätmeid, prügi ja teisi kasutuid tooteid tehes neist uusi materjale või tooteid, mis on parema kavaliteedi, suurema kasuteguri ja väiksema ökoloogilise jäljega. Esmakordselt kasutas mõistet upcycle Reiner Pilz 1994 aastal. „
